engagement and external relations officer - enrel unit

• Support the coordination and/or the handling of internal enquiries to provide support to staff and senior management who are required to interact with external partners;
• Support the coordination and/or the execution of monitoring and reporting in relation to EFSA's external relations activities;
• Support actively the organization and preparation of events/visits and other activities involving EFSA's partners;
• Assist in the coordination of inputs and the drafting of briefings for EFSA's management/senior management participating to meetings involving EFSA's partners;
• Support the exchange with EU Member States, EU Agencies, International organizations, EU institutions, Stakeholders where needed;
• Support EFSA's Strategic and community management process where needed.

• Excellent knowledge of English (at least C1 level); 
• Experience in and knowledge of European institutions and Agencies, external relations and communications;
• Excellent drafting skills (English), coordination and internal and external communication skills, analytical skills;
• Behavioural competencies: team player - working with others; analysis and problem solving; drive for results; political savvy and strategic agility; multi-tasking.

Assignment: initial contract of 3 months, with possibility of extension. Expected duration of assignment 12 months

Salary: approx. €3702 per month before taxes  

Work modalities: office work is required on at least 2 days per week. Remote work is possible within 2 hours from EFSA's premises in Parma, Italy, for the remaining days
