Technical & Engineering Field of RANDSTAD PROFESSIONALS Turin, specialized in the search and selection of middle, senior and top management profiles, on behalf of our client, a multinational group, are looking for a:
DRIVELINE SYSTEM ENGINEER
He/She will be technical responsible for systems and components product development, working from concept phase and design up to validation and product release for manufacturing. Driveline System Engineer will focus on the design, vehicle integration and performance evaluation/target setting of the driveline systems for both conventional and electrified powertrains.
Job Responsibilities:
To work with Benchmark Team to identify opportunities for future improvements in terms of Product cost, technology and quality
Product development roadmap definition for vehicle performance continuous improvement ( Fuel consumption , drivability, NVH, etc…).
To lead feasibility study for concept solution definition
Product development for performance, quality and cost, according to legal and project requirements
To establish targets for cost, weight and performance and technical specification
Effectively integrates all aspects of system design through the use of multi-disciplinary
Work with other Department to share driveline performance targets and to define action to reach them ensuring the best vehicular integration
Supporting prototype and production vehicle builds for new developments/quality issues.
To define program timing and key deliverables to support the overall vehicle program timing plan
To develop and update engineering/quality documentation (DVPs, FMEAs, etc.)
Development and update of design and validation standards, including Lesson Learned
Reviewing CAD, CAE & test data to support design freeze and product targets achievements.
Management of co-design activity with suppliers
Management of external teams supporting product design activities
Candidate Requirements:
Master degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.
English level: upper-intermediate (English test B2 – First Certificate)
CATIA V5 and 3D software knowledge
Communication skills and ability to engage and correspond with global network of teams, colleagues and interfaces
Detailed knowledge about vehicle driveline components and strong understanding of vehicle dynamic and performance
Experience in vehicle integration and systems requirements setting
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to write technical specification requirements
Ability to read and understand technical documents, drawings, specifications, etc
Ability to lead test and development activities
Ability to read and process test data
Preferred Requirements:
Problem solving approach and ability to react and provide potential solutions based on information received
Ability to appropriately manage and deliver communication and updates to various level within the organization up to but not limited to sector Vice President.
Ability to work in a team with proactivity, respecting the choices and challenges made by colleagues.
Ability, knowledge and experience to interact, mentor and manage colleagues from various locations, and business sectors.
Ability to delegate activities and requests to other colleagues internal and external to functional and reporting group.
Experience in designing driveline systems/subsystems
NVH Understanding
FMEA experience
Availability to business trip
Process improvement mindset (lean)
Experience of Agile methodologies for project development
Driving license up to C preferred
