The candidate will be required to provide underwriting, technical support, assistance in the development and management of a profitable business General Liability portfolio according to the Company’s guidelines and delegated authorities.
Reporting to Underwriting Manager, main responsibilities will be:
Underwrite insurance risks in accordance with the business plan and the organizational policy
Provide professional risk advisory, quotation and pricing support to partner/end customer
Handle new and existing business to allocated brokers
Adhere to underwriting standards, instructions and good practice to minimise risk and maximise efficiency.
Participate in meetings, as required, to support the development of strategy, share knowledge and best practice.
Positively promote the department, division and company as a whole in order to maximize brand leverage.
Furthermore she/he will be responsible for:
Ensure all documentation is accurate and complies with organizational guidelines
Contribute to continuous quality improvement process
Contribute to the achievement of operational objectives for the underwriting function and/or business unit
Business negotiation and relationship management to partner’s distribution team and end customers
Determine technical price according to agreed pricing process, quoting and setting coverage and negotiate.
Ensure business written in accordance with standards, to ensure profitable growth.
The ideal candidate will possess the followings:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or Business Administration.
- 4-5 years working experience in corporate liability underwriting
- Experience in clinical trials and pharmaceutical companies is preferable
- Good command of Spoken and written in English
- Good computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
