    RANDSTAD PROFESSIONALS Technical & Engineering Division of Turin is specialized in the search and selection of middle, senior and top management profiles, on behalf of our client, a leading global  thermoplastic polyurethane company, is looking for a:

    Indirect materials buyer

    Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement Indirects, the indirect materials buyer, being a part of Regional Procurement Team, will negotiate indirect goods & services for assigned cluster, will coordinate global/regional strategic contracts, managing ~20M€+ spend growing double digit YoY,

    simplifying fragmented spend landscape and implement leading edge procurement strategies

     

     

    Main Responsabilities:

    • Accountable for end-to-end spend management performance of your cluster;
    • Develops and executes supply strategies for local categories in line with corporate/regional category plans;
    • Ensure that all procurement initiatives are executed on time and with quality;
    • Bring sourcing expertise and best practice to generate and execute ideas to create TCO savings & efficiency;
    • Source and benchmark suppliers through RFP and negotiations;
    • Integration of sustainable procurement practices into daily Procurement business;
    • Lead supplier performance review;
    • Ensure compliance along the process including within our relations with suppliers;
    • Manage and execute own saving pipeline;
    • Demonstrates the capability to challenge inefficiencies, process deviations, supply unreliability's and strategy deviations;
    • Lead buyer for global or regional supplier contracts or subset category;
    • Negotiate “small capex” under guidance of Global Capex Team for your cluster;
    • Cooperation with team members from other Regions & clusters to share and implement best practices;

     

     

     

    Knowledge and skills:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role within regional  procurement organizations;
    • Excellent communication skills, team working and independency in the execution of assigned task and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
    • Comfortable in working in matrix environment and in diverse fragmented environment;
    • Excellent understanding of goods & service purchasing, processes and typical challenges;
    • Expert in negotiating and contract management;
    • Production industry and experience in volatile supply markets is desirable;
    • Knowledge about risk management within procurement/supply chain;
    • Capacity to deliver outstanding work to tight deadlines and manage a diverse workload;
