For a multinational company in the chemical-pharmaceutical field, we are looking for a Data Scientist to strengthen the team working on a broad range of propositions in the global clinical development space. 

The candidate will provide central statistical surveillance methods for large-scale traditional and decentralized trials, as part of a broader suite of analytical risk-based monitoring activities. The challenge will be analyzing large scale, heterogeneous dataset using machine learning to provide quantitative insights with a focus on predictive modelling and risk monitoring.


Key responsibilities:

  • Continuous exploration of data sources from disparate clinical trial business information systems, including electronic data capture and trial management systems etc;

  • Design, evaluation, and implementation of novel algorithms for statistical monitoring of clinical trial operations;

  • Management of production-grade data science solutions, including deployment to a wide community of users;

  • Scouting scientific literature for state-of-the-art methodologies that address business-driven uses cases dissemination of results through technical manuscripts and presentations;

  • Intense collaboration within a multi-disciplinary, geographically distributed team, comprising over 8 world-class data scientists and clinical programming experts.


What we are looking for:

•      Master’s degree in Data Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields.

•   Experience in Python and standard scientific stack (Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch …), or equivalent.

•    Ability to independently prototype and evaluate complex data analysis pipelines using notebooks.

•    Affinity for large scale organizations and multi-stakeholder environments.

•   English fluency.

Not essential but plus:

  • PhD in quantitative subject with hands-on programming experience (e.g., computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, computational bioinformatics), or equivalent;


  • Prior experience within human subjects/clinical research.
